Taking on legendary soul vocal star Ella Fitzgerald is RAC, in another trademark synth injected remix of her old school single “Too Darn Hot.” Erring on the side of funk, RAC keeps the muted horns and funky backing guitar to give the remix a definite retro feel. Commissioned by Verve Music Group, the mix will live on the next release of the Verve Remixed Series – a release that will pay tribute to the great women of jazz with 13 tracks featuring a classic performance from a legendary female jazz artist and remixed by top EDM talents such as Zeds Dead, Bassnectar, and Pretty Lights. This will be a very cool release, so watch for the full remix EP to drop July 9 on iTunes.
