As we all know, there exists more music and artists now than have ever existed before. This is awesome…for the most part. The uncool part of all this is that there now exists musically distracted people who spend time sifting through the deep end and going from track to track like mindless zombies. I’m guilty of getting trapped in that tunnel as well, but there is a way out! It’s called Photay and you’ll want to get comfy and pay attention to his new track “Reconstruct”. The moment the main hook comes in at 1:08 you can’t help but nod your head or tap your foot, it’s just so damn catchy. It really felt as if there was some Radiohead influence, but also some Gorillaz, Poolside, and maybe even one of my current favorites, London-based group, Jungle. This is the first single from the forthcoming self-titled album by Photay to be released on Astro Nautico later this summer. I am REALLY looking forward to this album so in the meantime, check out “Reconstruct” below.
