There has been some pretty big buzz around the massive amount of talent culminating on The Great Gatsby soundtrack. With new songs from Lana Del Rey, Andre 3000, Jack White and more, what’s not to love? And now British indie rock outfit The xx have released their dark, minimalistic pop track “Together” for the major motion picture. The xx have always been able to inject their tracks with a liberal amount of emotion while keeping their productions at a minimum.

Keeping with this technique is the hauntingly beautiful “Together” – punctuated with ghostly strings and synths, not much else sits between the sparse harmonies and airy vocals, which are allowed plenty of space to copulate.
