The Neighbourhood has been on my list of bands to watch out for in 2013. Already securing spots at a few big name festivals, these guys have a great future with their mix of indie rock, vocal talent, and just a touch of electronic charm.

Brooklyn based Little Daylight has taken The Neighbourhood’s single “Sweater Weather” and put a most excellent electronic spin to the track. Slow moving synths are punctuated with the percussive sounds of the drums and guitar runs that inundate the mix with an energetic tension that is begging to be released. I haven’t heard much from the Little Daylight people, but a quick look at their single “Overdose” (available after the jump) has me intrigued and looking forward to hearing more from the group.
