Chilled pop vibes emanate from my room on this rainy Friday afternoon in Chicago as Philadelphia based sedative-wave/smooth-fi group Work Drugs‘ new single “West Coast Slide” leaves me feeling nostalgic for sunny weather. Fronted by Thomas Crystal and Benjamin Louisiana, “West Coast Slide” is the first single coming off the group’s new album due out sometime this summer. Sunny guitar riffs punctuate the upbeat rhythm of the track while the muted vocals give the single a feeling similar to memories of a better time suddenly remembered and longed for again.
