[MUSIC VIDEO] HÄANA Premieres The Official Visuals For “Teardrop”
Sound artist, violinist, and producer HÄANA has recreated the classic anthem, “Teardrop”, by Massive Attack, and puts her Nordic cinematic stamp on it with help from Bulgarian cellist Irina Chirkova. Our creative team at The Sights and Sounds Media House helped to concept and shoot the official visuals along the Pacific Coast, and tells an abstract story woven together of mysterious labyrinths, salty ocean waves, and beautifully dangerous coastal cliffs. Infusing the video with dramatic landscapes and abstract and esoteric spaces, this retooling of “Teardrop” at an even more downtempo pace will pull on your heart strings. Ringing true throughout her library of work, HÄANA’s original music takes listeners on a journey whose destination is a crossroads between classical and contemporary, organic & man-made, familiar and mysterious. She counts Massive Attack, Björk, and Trentemøller as influences in crafting her production, as evidenced through coalescing sounds and cinematic soundscapes.
