Last week, Head Counselor Claude made our favorite announcement of the year. Is 2019 really going by that quickly?!
Dirtybird Campout will return to the Modesto Reservoir Oct. 4 to 6. This year’s installment features everyone’s favorite tech-house players, and is again sprinkled with impressive acts from a diverse selection of genres.
From outside of the label, the Bass Lodge stage is blessed by the presence of Jhene Aiko’s poetic vocals, Wajatta’s (Reggie Watts + John Tejada) funky grooves, Cut Chemist’s turn-table excellence and a minimal drum’n’bass set by Nastia.

Following suggestions to improve the venue last year, Dirtybird has stated: “the Birdhouse Stage is undergoing a sound make-over to ensure Campers will enjoy even better sound quality and will expect the new layout to make it easier and quicker to journey between sets and save their legs for the dance floor.”
We speak from years of experience: Dirtybird Campout is a judgement-free space in which you can unleash your inner child; letting loose to align with the jubilant community and playful opportunities around you.
Per tradition, wristband-holders will have the opportunity to compete in classic camp-themed activities like a water balloon toss, tug of war, and T-shirt tie dyeing. The lake-side venue features unique water activities, like a costumed boat race and .5K floatie challenge.
New to 2019 is “Claude’s Cabin,” a revamped area that will replace previous years’ Bunkhouse. Claude’s cabin will humanize the comedic vibes of his YouTube “Stroke Show,” presenting a talent show, beatboxing competition, pie eating contest, deep house yoga, and even speed dating.
