It feels like it’s been centuries since we last heard somebody murmur the names Dan Stephens and Joe Ray. Accompanied by gifted vocalist Alana Watson, Nero’s newest larger-than-life production still manages to rank up there with the best of them. While “The Thrill” certainly showcases a softer side of these wobble warlords, you would have to be a special type of imbecile to incorrectly size up this downright praiseworthy tune.

Following a vibrant introduction, the beat suddenly bursts into a whirlwind of timeless chord progressions and exquisite vocal work. Don’t even bother throwing around the term ‘dope sound design’ when it comes to these bass music titans. You’re just wasting you breath, because Nero never plans on leaving the top of the dubstep food chain – and that’s just fine with us.

The trio is also rumored to have an album due out later in 2015. Although no official release date has been announced as of now, we’ll be sure to keep you informed of any notable developments.
