HAERTS took the music blogosphere by surprise at the end of 2012 when they dropped one of the best tracks of the year with their single “Wings.” With how much attention the track received, I am a little surprised by the lack of remixes for the song. This could be a good thing, however, as the original was pretty amazing and I imagine it would probably be pretty difficult to live up to the standard set by HAERTS. Brave LA newcomers Wildcat! Wildcat! have decided to take on that challenge, transforming the original into a synth-infused, electronica piece of gold. Working off a driving, back end beat, Wildcat! Wildcat! weaves a tapestry of beautiful synths that interweave and strengthen (as opposed to detract) from the original sound. Throw in some beautifully chopped up vocals and you have a remix that lives up to the standard of the original. Check out the sounds and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
