Dubbed “Artist To Watch” in 2013 by MTV & Billboard, Australia’s Gold Fields have hit our radar once again with their upbeat indie pop-rock single “You’re Still Gone.” A tune that at first listen glistens with all the tasty guitar riffs and a soaring hook that is perfect for spring. Yet the song is tinged with a hint of melancholy because, after all, “When I look around / You’re still gone.” Whether that makes you happy or sad, I’m going to sway optimistic and choose to let the bleeping synths take over.
